Getting the product right is the first step. Getting it to your facility on time, in good condition, with the right documentation is what actually keeps production running. Since 2006, Chemsino has shipped food emulsifiers to manufacturers in 50+ countries — and the questions we answer most often from new buyers are the same ones this guide covers: how much do I have to order, how long does it take, and what do I need to clear customs?

No Minimum Order Quantity

Chemsino has no minimum order quantity. That applies to first-time buyers and repeat customers equally.

In practice, the commercial minimum is determined by packaging — our standard unit is 25 kg per bag (solid products) or 200 kg per drum (liquid products). One bag gets the same product, the same certifications, and the same documentation as a full container. What changes is the per-kg cost and shipping efficiency.

Order size Format Notes
Below 500 g Free sample Free of charge; full COA and TDS included
25 kg Single bag / drum Minimum standard commercial unit
500 kg – 1 tonne Mixed pallet Good for trialing multiple products together
1 × 20-ft container ~18–22 tonnes Most cost-efficient per-kg rate

Mixed-product orders on a single shipment are standard. DMG and SSL together, PGPR and Polysorbate 80 together — consolidating saves freight and simplifies logistics.

Free Samples

Samples below 500 g are free for all standard products — no conditions, no first-order commitment.

Available products include: DMG (E471), SSL (E481), CSL (E482), DATEM (E472e), PGPR (E476), PGE (E475), Polysorbate 60 (E435), Polysorbate 80 (E433), Span 60 (E491), and Propylene Glycol (food-grade and industrial-grade).

Each sample ships with: COA, TDS, MSDS, Halal certificate, Kosher certificate. Courier by DHL or FedEx, typically 5–10 business days to destination. Chemsino covers the product; the buyer covers courier freight.
To request: email info@cnchemsino.com or WhatsApp +86 188 3717 1591 with the product name, quantity, and delivery address.

Lead Times

Standard lead time from confirmed order to ready-for-shipment: 15–20 days.
This covers all standard products. Custom packaging, non-standard formulations, or orders exceeding regular inventory may extend to 25–30 days — confirm when placing the order.
Before any goods leave our facility, every batch goes through full QC inspection: purity, acid value, saponification value, and functional performance. The batch COA is issued after sign-off. We do not ship without it.

Shipping Routes and Transit Times

Chemsino ships from Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Goods move by road to Qingdao, Shanghai, Tianjin, or Guangzhou for sea freight, or by air from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport for urgent orders.

Typical ocean freight transit times:

Destination Transit time
Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand) 7–15 days
South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh) 10–18 days
Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt) 18–28 days
East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia) 25–35 days
West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal) 28–40 days
Europe (Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe) 28–38 days
North America (Los Angeles, New York, Houston) 25–35 days
South America (Brazil, Chile, Colombia) 30–45 days

All figures are typical ranges. Confirm current schedules with our team at the time of order — carrier availability and port congestion affect actual transit.

Air freight is available for solid emulsifiers. Transit: 3–7 days to most destinations. Higher cost, but the right option when stock is urgent.

Shipping Terms (Incoterms)

We offer FOB, CFR, and CIF.

FOB — Chemsino delivers to the named Chinese port. The buyer arranges and pays ocean freight, insurance, and all onward costs. Most experienced importers use FOB to control freight costs through their own forwarder.

CFR
 — Chemsino pays ocean freight to the destination port. The buyer handles insurance, customs clearance, and local delivery.

CIF — Chemsino covers ocean freight and cargo insurance to the destination port. The buyer handles customs clearance and inland delivery. The simplest option for new buyers — one price covers the goods to your port.
For bulk liquid shipments (IBC tanks, flexitanks), contact our team directly — bulk liquid logistics require specific vessel and terminal compatibility that affects Incoterms choice.

Payment Terms

We accept T/T (bank wire), L/C (Letter of Credit), and D/P (Documents against Payment).
T/T is standard for most orders: 30–50% deposit at order confirmation, balance before shipment or against a copy of the shipping documents.
L/C is available for large orders requiring a bank guarantee. It adds processing time for L/C establishment and review — confirm the minimum order value with our sales team.
D/P releases shipping documents to the buyer's bank upon payment. A practical middle ground between T/T and L/C.
For first orders, T/T with 30–50% advance is the default. For established buyers, we are open to discussing terms based on order history and volume.

Documentation

Every Chemsino shipment includes a full documentation package. This is what moves the product through customs without delay:

Document Purpose
Commercial Invoice Customs value declaration
Packing List Contents, weights, dimensions
Bill of Lading (B/L) Title document for ocean freight
Certificate of Analysis (COA) Batch-specific quality confirmation
Technical Data Sheet (TDS) Product specification and performance data
Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) Handling and hazard information
Halal Certificate Required for Middle East, Southeast Asia, Muslim-majority markets
Kosher Certificate Required for Israel, North America, Kosher-certified products
Certificate of Origin Country of manufacture for import duty purposes
Health Certificate Required by some markets for food ingredient imports
RSPO Certificate For buyers with sustainable palm sourcing requirements

Additional documents on request: phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate, SGS third-party inspection report, EU / FDA / GCC compliance letters.

Understanding Total Cost

Price per kg is the starting point, not the whole picture. Before comparing suppliers, buyers should account for:
Dosage efficiency. Lower-purity emulsifiers require higher dosage. An SSL at 40% purity used at 0.5% costs more per functional unit than a 90%+ purity SSL achieving the same result at 0.3%. Compare cost per effective dosage, not cost per kg.
Incoterm alignment. FOB and CIF prices are not comparable — one excludes freight, the other includes it. Normalize to the same incoterm before drawing any conclusions.
Import duties. These depend on the HS code and your country's trade agreements. A lower FOB price from a supplier in a different trade agreement position can produce a higher landed cost. Check the applicable import duty rate for your market before committing.
Certification acceptance. Halal and Kosher certificates are not universally interchangeable — some markets require certificates from specific bodies. Chemsino holds RSPO, Halal, Kosher, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000 certificates recognized across the EU, US, GCC, and Southeast Asia. Confirm that the certificates your supplier provides are accepted in your market before placing an order.
Lead time and inventory. 15 days production + 35 days ocean freight to Europe = approximately 50 days from order to receipt. If your safety stock runs out in 45 days, production stops. Build lead time into your reorder cycle, not just your price model.

How an Order Works: Step by Step

1. Request a sample. Contact us with the product name, quantity (below 500 g), and delivery address. Ships within 3–5 business days.
2. Trial the sample. Test against your COA specification and in your process. Our technical team supports formulation questions throughout this stage.
3. Confirm the order. Provide product, quantity, packaging, destination port, and preferred Incoterm. We issue a Proforma Invoice within 1–2 business days.
4. Pay the deposit. 30–50% T/T advance. Production starts after payment confirmation.
5. Production and QC. 15–20 days. Batch COA is issued after QC sign-off. We notify you when goods are ready.
6. Shipment. Goods loaded and shipped. Full documentation package sent to you: invoice, packing list, COA, B/L, all certificates.
7. Balance payment. T/T balance paid, or documents released against D/P payment. Original shipping documents couriered to you for customs clearance.
8. Customs and delivery. You clear customs at the destination port and receive goods.
