A Thriving Market in Brazil
As FI South America 2024 drew to a close on August 8th, we reflect on an event that showcased the vibrant potential of Brazil's food ingredients market. With a population exceeding 200 million, Brazil controls nearly 70% of the South American market. The region’s food ingredients market is expected to grow from $22.4 billion in 2023 to $23.75 billion by 2028, with a CAGR of 1.18%. These numbers underline the strategic importance of this market and the exciting opportunities it holds.
The Largest FI South America in History
This year's FI South America marked a record in scale and participation. The 26th edition brought together 311 exhibitors from 36 countries, spanning over 6,500 square meters of exhibition space. The event also attracted 8,573 professional buyers, a 9% increase in exhibitor numbers compared to last year. The event was not only about its grand scale but also about fostering innovation and collaboration within the industry.
