Propylene glycol (PG) is an important raw material of unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, plasticizer and surfactant, which accounts for about 45% of the total consumption of propylene glycol. This unsaturated polyester is widely used in surface coatings and reinforced plastics.
Propylene glycol (PG) is also used as a tobacco humidifier, mildew inhibitor, food processing equipment lubricating oil and food marking ink solvent.
