Sodium Erythorbate is white or piggyback yellow crystalline powder or granules. Odorless, slightly salty, decomposes at a melting point above 200°C, and is quite stable when exposed to air in a dry state.
It is easily soluble in water 55g/ml, but in the aqueous solution, when there is air, metal, heat, or light, it will be oxidized, and it is almost insoluble in ethanol. The PH value of 2% aqueous solution is 6.5-8.0.
APPLICATIONS:
Sodium Erythorbate can be used as an antioxidant, and also as a preservative, color aid. It is mainly used in the food industry, widely used in meat, fish, beer, fruit juice, canned vegetables, dairy products, wine, oil, etc.
